Good friday *nite*

Hm.. an update from yesterday… I went back asleep after writing the blog o_o’ hehe.. then we went for the service around 30 minz late =p the taxi driver was clumsy.. he couldn’t navigate, couldnt stay calm, forever touching his specs, hair, the taxi’s gear, windows, etc O_o’ oh well…. We were seated at 4^th floor.. juz when we sat down, I saw wihu came *late too, eh?!*

Hm.. the service is juz like my indo church… they had beautiful soloist and choir… and then sermon’s time.. I muz admit I was quite excited to hear him speak the sermon coz I never had a chance to listen to him or caleb tong back in bandung, while everyone says everytime he preaches, the congregation goes to thousands….

His sermon was a simple topic of ‘love’ and none-greater-love-than-Jesus’ love… and that human would never understand this love unless holy ghost open up our heart and THEN we could see the part of His love… the bible quoted was 1 John 3 :16… my findings from yesterday sermon :

1. John was the youngest disciple O_o’
2. John wanted to become His prime minister when Jesus becomes king
3. John was the only one tat saw Jesus’ crucifixion

Well he said that John loved Jesus for a motive, tat he wanted to be the right-hand-man of God… THAT is not the real love but when He saw Jesus died THAT way on the cross, he finally understood what is love, and that there’s none greater love than this… he went on saying that other disciples didn’t mention love as precise as John (I was saying to myself : ya horr… the most famous “for God so loved the world that He gave His one and only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” is taken from John 3:16…) it is because he experienced first hand, to see wad Jesus had done for the atonement of our sins… and the rest of the sermon, he tries to prove that there’s none greater love, and that human’s brain is too limited to know God’s wonderful love. Here, I tink, is what he should review…

He was preaching too tactless and his proves involved too many historian backgrounds whom I DO NOT KNOW any!! I mean it goes to waste u know.. saying so many names that in the end I only catch ‘martin luther’ :p I guess he should keep the names to himself. Next, his proves contain criticism to other religions, which I think would create frictions.. (true enough, eh? :p) I mean IF u r preaching to this bunch of very christians Christian, he would make them think that other religions are wrong…. And the words he used were quite strong words… such as ‘penghujatan’ I mean… wad if you hear that the other religion is ‘penghujatan’ to your God? Definitely you’ll get enraged at the other religion right? and as He preached to us, *quite educated and open people*, I couldn’t help but think he’s kinda shallow… I tink I wrote what my pastor says about being one in Christ? It doesn’t matter if u r a Christian or Catholic, doesn’t matter if you are in Anglican Presbyterian Methodist or wadever… if we spend too much time scowling at other people’s way of worshiping, when can we have time to be one and devote all of us to God? And I also remembered he said about the difference in these ‘religions’ are only choice of music and the instruments… well i guess, wther u r preaching to Christians Christian, newChristians, KKR, wadever, it is STILL wrong to create frictions…

Rituals wise, he said that holy communion was interpreted wrongly for more than 1000years, then revived 3 more times… 1^st was that literally the body of Christ is broken every week, 2^nd Jesus’ spirit is in the bread, 3^rd (forgot) and 4^th, the one we finally settled on is that when we eat the bread and wine, we remember Him, and FEEL his presence with us…. THATZ precisely wad my church has been doing isn’t it? O_o’ well2.. *read my next entry*

Well.. itz right that ‘the only way to go back to the purest way is through the bible’.. but rev Stephen Tong continued by saying ‘the charismatics are disgraceful coz of how they worship…’ heyyyyyyy I read the purpose driven life, and it also SAYS that we cant define worship as only singing.. actually the WHOLE act of being near to God is worship… the sermon, the singing, the fellowship, the communion, etc etc… and that God loves all kinds of music, because he creates them all!! if u r saying u should worship using these particular instruments, then people in the olden times (david, hannah, miriam, aaron, noah..) are not worshipping? WRONG! worship is NOT only music.. it is rili our whole being wanting to be near to God..! n it makes sense that God creates all music (everything in fact) and hence, we might dislike some songs or genre.. but he loves them all! coz he created them! (purpose driven life day 8). oh well.. I guess if he wants to preach this way, it should be a closed-door thing, yea? By saying this is a KKR, and giving out pamphlet inviting others, certainly he should refine his sermon.. I mean KKR should be reviving congregation’s spirit however, it certainly had gone backfire, even to me… I decided that I would juz stick to my church… and as for hana, I know she’s offended greatly as she marched out of the hall (gomen… ) I mean it was a good friday, and time for us to remember his sufferings, be greatful in his Love for us, and yea.. maybe a chance for others to see what Christians are.. and yet……………….

Well well… after the service, we went for dinner at orchard.. wihu met me and u know wadz he said? ‘sudah kuduga pasti telat’ hehehehe idiot! He was also late! Hahaha!!! eniweii went to orchard, so it was one big group of us, plus tony and Shing.. yeapz the Cambodian boy.. hahaa he’s cute isn’t he? Any takers? :p he’s single leh… hahahah!! Then we went to fish n co for dinner.. me n marlin took the seafood platter for 2.. *yummy2* shing n tony took swordfish O_o’ so biggggg they couldn’t finish it in the end.. haha aiyoyo.. then joE was having gastric… err isit becoz we ate too late for dinner last nite?? Gomennnnn hm.. Sean wanted to go K’ok O_o’ haha will be laughing all the time to hear him sing… hey.. he is a good singer lah.. but he has loadza talent to be a clown.. so yea.. u’ll definitely be laughing ur head off… wel2.. we didn’t go lagh.. so we finally went our own way home… :D

Er…. Hanaaa im so sorie u got offended… hopefully u wun mind if I ask you to come to a church function next time… hehe I wun ask u to come to listen to sermon lagh.. okay? :p and for joE and rusdi, Im glad they weren’t offended… but yea.. i hope u guys wldnt mind going to a shorter-activities :p hehehe……. eniwei.. thx for the day..:D
