Grave of Fireflies...

This is another story by studio Ghibli... No doubt the VERY different one than Howl's moving castle or spirited away... This is the story of Japan during world war 2..

I watched the 'live action' not the cartoon one... it is SUPER heart wrenching, i tell you!! But Im not saying its bad... it is super good..

It is about 2 families during the world war.. One family is supposedly to be wealthier with his dad being colonel of the naval base.. n the other family has 4 kids in the family and pretty poor too...

It so happened that the two mothers of the family are cousins.. They both made a pact that if anything happened during the war, they'll take care of each other's kids..

The mother of the wealthier family passed away and they took shelter at the other's house 'for the time being'..; supposedly until their father replied them on their next move...

In the beginning, they live happily under the same roof... especially when the boy of the wealthy family managed to dig out the 'remains' from his house and found many many food... But as time goes by.. when food ratios diminishes... n one of the kid got sick... n the other missing their mum too much... n many many more miseries befell.....

(JUST WATCH! its heart wrenching.. but its worth watching..)
