wad a day..

it's friday the 13th... yes...!! i didnt realize it.. but well.. it was just not my day.. (at least not the first half)!!



I took taxi to client as usual.. n told the uncle my 'usual route'..., that is to u-turn to eunos and take pie-cte from there.. n he was like 'actually can go by this way (from kembangan mrt, turn left, to the housing estate, n it came out just outside eunos MR (which is the same $$ if we go by the normal route).. n then, he has still has to u-turn to get into pie... which, takes a long time lah!! coz have to wait for the traffic light mah... n so, we got in to pie..



He drove fast... n fast enough to miss the exit that i told him...... =.=;.. n when i told him he said 'wanna go xxx right? can go from here..', which, amazingly, there IS another exit named 'xxx' XD.. geez.. i never knew.. but u know wad.. it's damn far lah!!! true that there's no traffic light, true that there's not alot of traffic, but the detour.. omigosh O_O damn far!!!!!



Then, we finally reached the client's place.. n i paid about $21.. which, is the same amount when my senior came to my place to pick me up.... so.. ya.. just hope that i could claim the whole amt =.=;



K.. my other colleague havent came yet.. n i was happily settling down.. took tea...... n on my compie.... arrange the table... n yes, i mistyped my own password........ 3 times...... n best yet, my company practiced what we preached to clients... "account lockout duration" has been set to 0.....



Ok.. let me brag a little bit here... we always do review on our client's systems.. n check their password policy.. one of the items is "account lockout threshold" and "account lockout duration"... account lockout threshold, as some of u might already know, is the number of times you could TRY logging in.. which usually is set to 3.... afterward, u'll get locked out... sometimes, after u can 'try again' after a few minutes/ hours, because "account lockout duration" is set to maybe 15 minutes? So, after u try 3x, u get locked out for 15 minutes, u get another 3 tries.. then u get locked out again, etc...



This is NOT secure!! (cie.... gaya gax gw =p).. if there's someone trying to hack to your system, for example, if rina left her laptop outside.. n she goes to work, then the other someone (not me!) would want to try 'her' luck accessing the laptop, after 3x, she can just wait for another 15 minutes before she can try again! i mean.. of course, ur passwords must not be an easy one (see? this is one of the requirements of my audit! hehe)... but still, it gives 'opportunity' for an attacker to TRY... at least for a few hours/ day... correct?



So, we always advice our client to set the account lockout duration to 0... hoho.. which means, only the administrator could unlock it... no matter how long u let the computer to be locked, there's noway it could be unlocked if administrator is not there... so.. ya.. in my case, it's sux!



Had to go back office to unlock it.. *havent even had my tea yet!!* so.. i took cab (of course) back.... n another funny driver.. he didnt even get on to CTE...... *sigh*.. we went ALL the way to upper serangoon.... paya lebar, potong pasir, boonkeng, aljuined, lavender and finally esplanade drive..... geez... n i blew $17.... n the funny thing was, he apologized 'sorry i didnt hit CTE because it was really jam',... fine.. thx for the consideration XD



Went to IT.. and fixed the problem quite fast... n then i remembered that my virus definition was not updated yet... n again, another 'practice what you preach', we need to update our virus definition!! so i told them that i have not updated my virus definition.. so they were like 'oh no! then ur lotus notes havnt been updated too!'... so.. they told me that they'll take 30 minutes... so i was thinking for 30 minutes, i dowan to go down to office =p maybe can loiter in the raffles area instead mwahahaha...



i went to the staff lounge for coffe.. but there was alot of people there queueing in front of the coffee machine.. wadaaaa O_o'! staff lounge usually empty during office hour leh!! sobz.. cant get my coffee also :(.. then i went to the toilet... then went back to staff lounge to try my luck with coffee... and AGAIN!!! they were still queueing =.='... n i decided to join the queue... just when the person in front of me placed her cup on the coffee machine, i received a call from IT.. saying that my laptop is ready.... I WANT MY COFFEEEEE alamak..



Then.. since im gona be going back to office and paying my own cab fare, i tried to get a cab on the 'correct' direction... so, it had to be from the opposite of my building, which in the end, had to walk quite a bit........ i mean.. it's not far... but well, u have to walk quite a bit instead of just going to the taxi stand in the building =p



This taxi driver was good.. he drives fast and according to my instruction.. BUT.. he was GA ATURAN o_O'.... he kept on changing lanes... :S scary.. n when he was going to exit from the highway, he was still at the middle lane and FAST... O_o scary..... lucky im still here blogging XD



Then... back to this client's office.. and huix.. could not get anything done because they didnt give any information to us.. there's still about 40 clauses left (for me) out of 133 clauses.. which means 1/3!!! which means, ILL DIE NEXT WEEK..



Then, another reviewed workpaper came...... which, i have to go down to the other client to verify few things... gyaa... ill really die next week T.T i hope not.. wel.. i really hope not XD



I hope not to burn my weekends by working as much as i could today.. but i just dont feel like doing anything now XD....my other colleague has left (as i said, the client didnt give anything! n when we tried to do 'informal' interview, just small clarifications and verifications, they turned me down :( they said they're busy today... geez.. i understand everyone wants to go back early on friday... but..)



huix.. jadi males.. hahaa.. the babie panas is not here today.. haiz.. ada bagus ada ngga segh.. O_o bagusnya, dia ga banyak rewel.. jeleknya, kita ga bisa dapet apa2 hr ini =.=; SOBZ! eniweiz.. i just hope the rest of the day goes well.... sigh...
