blog lagi..... huehue

Ternyata memang seru banget nge-blog.. wakaka.. marlin n I played the quizzes until almost midnight... darn! i gota sleep!!

i got 30mins to blog tonight.. I promised nana to tell stories about that stingray seller..... *deep breath*

Last weekend, i had few frenz coming over to Singapore all at the same time.. there is this guy from bandung *wich i dun rili know*, eli came on thurs.. there's sbass' surprise 'coming back again'... then there's my 2 church friends visiting to singapore.. lucky enough, hensen didn't msg me on the weekends.. =p

Well,... i managed to meet all the above mentioned and PLUS did wad ive promised husen and adeline... i also managed to cancel my iaf meeting ^_^;; So... Saturday...

Saturday was fun!! woke up around 8.30 *i was late, but it was becoz the night before we had quite a long chit chat at starbucks remember!!*.. eniweiz.. didnt really matter..

Met my 2 church frenz whom no more than old choir frenz and later became a hi-bye-church frenz eversince i came to singapore... surprisingly.. within few hours, i knew more about them than i have all these YEARS!! had a great time with them.. the shopping and the company, the stories.. chats... whew.. just so much to talk about..

Eli n liping joined us in the afternoon *they went to bugis temple to pray*.. the two groups were divided in the beginning.. soon, ola joined us and liping left us T.T... The 5 of us as team members, decided that chingay is a waste of time =p.. We then roam vivo city, while trying to find a common ground er.. common topic of interests... breaking the ice... etc... we then roamed orchard (up to border's), suntec, marina square, and esplanade until dinner time.. try to imagine our route... we started roaming at about 3pm... we reached suntec just in time for the fountain show..

Tony called, saying he wanted to join us for dinner.. qkho n hanjin wanted to meet up too *but gota wait for the 2 of them to finish their dinner over at hanjin's granma's place* so 5 of us crawled our way through to esplanade... then we decided that it's time for dinner!

Since eli is around, she'd want to eat her fav food... STINGRAY.. so glutton bay is our best choice.. we chose our dinner table nearest to the singapore river so that we dont have to move our butt when the fireworks start...

We ordered our food.. 2 stingray.. *yang penting cuman ini segh...* n other stuff... as usual.. we had to wait wait n wait for our stuff... we all KNOW that barbeque takes time... right? WHO doesnt -__-'!

While i was queueing n an auntie behind me asked the young uncle *i was writing 'young idiot' but i deleted it.. -__-'* whether they have cooked whatever she ordered... if they havent, she'd like to cancel the order.. she said it VERY politely.. maybe she said it out of 'starvation'... wanted to choose other 'faster-to-cook' food rather than waiting for BBQ stuff? n the young uncle replied curtly 'wait wait wait! must wait!' i glared at him for being so rude.. but eniweiz.. i decided that it's none of my business, right?!

I dont remember how i ended up queuing very near to the old uncle whom front tooth is missing.. he spoke too loudly and too harshly n too close to the food... i was already frowning looking at him shouting so loudly on top of the freshly cooked food.. damit! he's adding unneccessary flavour to the food!

When i was sooo sure that the tray of food was mine, i told him HELPINGLY saying 'thatz mine..' n he was like 'DENG YI XIA!'... k lor.. i let him double check the food and the invoice.. 1 stingray was on the plate.. i said 'im still waiting for another one..' n he so rudely poked the invoice n said in chinese 'u only ordered one la!! $32.50!'

Eli was beside me.. she said calmly to the young uncle that she said she ordered TWO..! He didnt give a damn.. no apology.. he said 'so u want one more or not? $12..' ofcoz we need one more! we have not enough food for all of us.. i took out $20.. holding it on my hand, i waited for the toothless guy to look up since he's the 'cashier'

The next word coming from him was 'xiao jie kuai dian kuai dian!!' SHOUTING AT ME! like jeering that im so guniang.. so slow.. i shouted at him with my limited chinese 'kuai dian kuai dian.. ni bu yao qian ah!' *faster faster.. u dowan money ah?!* my tone was already as crude as his.. u guys know how i'd be when im pissed...

He quickly took the money from me n kept quiet while we, take our trays.. the aunties on the line laughed happily when i snapped at him.. one of them said 'ya lor.. faster faster... dowan money hor!!' i also duno y she's so happy.. maybe she's the auntie that was forced to wait at the beginning.. duno.. didnt notice.. i was pissed already mah O_o'

So yea... gota wait for 10mins for our next stingray... we ate our dinner.. chit chatting with each other... eli was getting more n more comfortable with my 2 frens, hoho!! eniweiz.. 10mins has passed!! i reminded them that the stingray should be out, n tat i dont want to go there to get it.. tony seemed to be half volunteering half forced to go... but he didnt come back after few minutes... eli went next...... when they both didnt come back, i THOUGHT the uncle wouldnt know that they're waiting for the stingray..

I went there and tony was on the line closest to the counter... he said the uncle told him 'yi xia zhi' meaning 'a little while more....'

WHERE IS THE DARN STINGRAY? o_O"!!!

Eli was commenting that the stingray in newton is nicer than the one in glutton bay... the newton's one is nice even without the chilly... Our first stingray order was without chilly.. n she said it's not nice... so.. she decided to tell the uncle to have the 2nd stingray spread with chilly... The younger uncle seemed to 'click' right away... he went to the kitchen.. look through the trains of orders.... didnt find ours?!

He asked whether they've got our order... our stingray...

yep.. they've NOT!!

n he said: did u order?

we: YEA.....!!

toothless uncle: wo mei you shou ta de qian *never receive any money* (he was looking at eli)

Eli quickly pulled me into view.. my mood really evaporated into the thin air....!!

toothless uncle didnt look at us in the eyes.. spoke chinese to the young uncle in loud voice... the young uncle shouted back at him.. i couldnt really figure out wad happen.. but it's enough to BOIL my blood...

I shouted at the toothless guy with my finger pointing at him.. i know i was rude.. but at least it wasnt a middle finger.... i shouted in CHINESE... then i realized i couldnt be scolding in chinese.. i was going to tell him something like I have given him the money n that he shouldnt try to avoid admitting it.. eniweiz.. i couldnt say it lagh!

so i switched to english.. =p

My fingers kept on pointing at him.. he kept quiet n the cook behind the bar looked at me and i think he got that look in his face -scared/astonished/wad- when he said 'ok ok i cook now, okay?' I didnt WANT TO WAIT any longer.. i dont want to EAT anymore..

I banged the table *not too loud lagh!* but enough to show my anger, i guess.... got them to give me back the money.. the younger uncle apologize 'so sorry ah..' the toothless uncle kept quiet.... i didnt want to accept any apology.. sorry but i was burning mad..! i left after snatching the money none-too-gently... The guys on the line gave way... or they didnt? tony n eli were behind me...

so yea.. the whole day fun happy mood were ruined just like that................ not long after that, the fireworks started just above us... qkho went to the field to absorb more of the fireworks... she went ooh-aah-ing n the sound of it was so funny tat it made me laugh...... well at least the fireworks healed abit... i also could shout aaaaahhhh *stress release not as ooh-aah-ing like qkho*=p

Hanjin wasnt too happy about sharing one medium sized stingray so he ordered another one again... eli said 'no! we should stand on our ground.. our pride..' but qkho said 'dun worie lagh! the uncle wouldnt know him wad...'

Within 10mins, hanjin went back to the stall to get his stingray....... n the cook who was behind the bar came to our table with a medium-sized stingray with separate chilly... O_o' he went to eli =p too scared to come to me... wakakkaa

He said it's a peace offering frm them.. while speaking, he looked at me and trying to convince me that they're really sorry sorry and sorry... me, on the other hand, was kinda taken a back that they took a step forward to apologize =p okay... apology accepted...... it's a $12 stingray for free =p

After he left, hanjin returned with another stingray =p we dug in to the peace offering.... Just before eating it, Qkho said 'may be itz poisoned or something' arghh!!!! we were in dilemma for a while.. but going out with gluttons like us... poison could be dealt with in court.. wadz important is to enjoy the food first.. tink about hospital bills n lawsuit later... a stomach ache would be enough to sue the stall wakaka..

not too bad lagh........................... at least they apologized... i think different reasons y they gave us peace offerings..

1. They cooked it already *unknowingly our order WAS taken*..

2. The cook really got scared and he threw stingray on the BBQ pit when he saw me arguing with the two older morons

3. Everyone saw me n them arguing *at least the guys queing* n they felt paiseh..

4. They know we're foreigners and that we're gona complain about them to singapore paper.. indonesia's paper, australia's papers... well.. indonesians DO have that strong mouth when it comes to complaining!

5. They are NOT supposed to get any complain because they want to win the 'employee of the month' at glutton bay competition

6. my reasons are getting lame.. time for bed =p

beuh! i wouldnt go to that stupid bbq place for another few months, i guess 0_o!
