natsu matsuri..

Yay!! as nana has blogged about it, this year's natsu matsuri's notice came super late O_o' me n tony was just engaging in small talk when I asked casually whether this year the japanese association would hold natsu matsuri..

Tony checked their website.. n HOLA... the tix r sold out =.=; so.. yea.. me n tony were actually kinda 'torn' in between going or not going.. plus tony actually had "something on" yesterday.. eniweiz.. after telling nana about natsu matsuri, she enthusiastically firmly, decisively say 'GO!'... huehuee..

Well2.. i called the japanese association asking about the yukata renting at about ehrm.. 12? huehuee.. n they said they will have 100 yukatas rented out for THOSE with tix... d a m ... then i was asking whether we could rent it in any other way.. cash? or pay them back when we've got the tix? n the girl told me 'u may try borrowing from other ticket holders first...'

understood? she wanted me to try our luck.. borrow 4 coupons from the other ticket holders (1 ticket holder would have erhm.... 8 coupons?)... hueee??? tat means 3 of us need to find 3 other people O_o'! huehuee.. but eniweiz.. i already made up my mind.. if i were to go to natsu matsuri, i NEED to get the yukata.... begging is not an issue...

but.. the wheather is the issue =p it was kinda 'dark' at about 1 something.. n then I told tony i wun be out by 2...

By 2.30, when i was ready to get out of the house, it was tony's butt's turn to refuse to move... in the end i went out by 2.45.. (walked out SLOWLY) as tony instructed... then took a long long 67 ride to bedok O_o'

Tony was supposed to board the bus at bukit timah road.. but he missed the bus.. so he took the next 67.. nana board the bus at little india.. so we're together ^_^.. when we reached bedok, tony smsed tat he alighted at the wrong stop! eunos O_o' hahaa... so I took the opportunity to grab something to eat for erhm.. late lunch/early dinner..

Ate the famous bedok chwee kway.. YUMMMMMMMYYYYYY.... then when tony came, he also wanted to eat some food.. we looked at our watch.. n it shows 4.45.. HAHA! no way we could get a yukata by this hour O_o'!

So we took our time eating again.... while waiting for the natsu matsuri bus... we went to the berth by 5 sharp.. n we saw SUPER LONG queue... O_o some women wearing pretty yukata.. some men wear the usual dull coloured yukata... there are a couple wearing erhm... maid-costume for cosplay kind.... quite fun to see them dressed up like this ^_^

When we reached, we were divided to 2 sections.. those with tix, those without admission tix.... I saw sooooo many people in the admission tix section... n even more people on the 'without admission tix' section O_o' shudder.... i had the feeling we wont get any tix..

We waited in the queue for quite sometime tat it's kinda boring O_o'! so i took the time ogling at pretty yukata.... n engaging in weird conversation with nana n tony; such as 'what if we hold indonesian festival' (drop the 'arts')... wad would we host,... etc.etc.. O_o hahaa...

finally the crowd starts to crawl... bit by bit... n by the time we almost reached the entrance to the festival, the queue starts to move super fast... man.... tix were sold out O_o'! sobz!!! but we could still 'enjoy' the festival.. just that we wont be able to have food or drink...

HUEE?? how to appreciate festival without food/drink O_o' sobz... nana was saying 'letz go to booths tat says *cash!*' okay... we looked through the list... booths tat accept cash were 'fortune cats...' selling ceramics... 'fortune telling'... and some bags n accesories.. n also traditional festival goodies...

O_o'! sobz..

Then we saw these people queuing up... looking happy with their blue coloured coupons... hohohoh got coupon booth!!! hueheuheuheueue just tat we didnt get any tix for 'main dishes'.. from then on.. the festival began ^_^

As nana said, we spent mostly on food huehuee... in the end, tony didnt get his 'ramune soda', nana didnt get her 'mask' n i didnt get my yukataaaaaa... but enihoo.. i think the festival ended up quite nicely..

Tony wanted to get rid of his last 2 pieces of coupon.. he bought 'soramame'... while nana bought 'edamame..'

We ended up eating these two cups of mame while watching the crowds doing the famous bon odori (its THE dance for natsu matsuri, i guess)... when we were there they danced to the tune 'rasa sayang' which were also played 2 years ago... we decided to sit closer to the crowd.. but nana n tony wouldnt stay sit.....

So we went to join the dance.. HUAHUAHUA quite cooolll ^_^ hopefuly they all remember how it goes.. so that next time when Palm garden hosts natsu matsuri, we can at least show them a fraction of the 'bon odori steps'.. huehuee... well yea.. we joined them quite late.. it was the LAST dance already sobz.. .time to go home...

when i reached home.. i was shocked to see my fan (that's mounted right above my head when i sleep) dangling.. lifeless.... shocked O_o' Marlin n Ong came to help me dismantle the fan.. they wouldnt listen to me when i say just cut the wire.. So we went through ordeal dismantling it.. I hold the fan... marlin dismantle.., ong held out her hands each time we had to pass something...

We were able to dismantle the fan from the wall.. but could not dismantle it DOWN.. u understand?

its like this (the wire from the main switch - duno from where) --- connected to --- (fan socket mounted on the wall; this also acts as the remote controller) --- connected to --- (the physical fan)

We only managed to get the 2nd entity (fan socket mounted on the wall) frm the wall.. these 3 entities still locked closely to each other O_o'! when we opened up the fan socket, it was all wires n stuff.. when i touched one wire, the whole house went black out O_o' short circuited huehuehuehueehuehuehuheuheuehuee

Ong was busy looking for torchlight.. n marlin went to manage the electrical box.. n me... alone in the dark room holding the fan like my precious baby O_o'!! after the lights came back, we decided tat it was more dangerous to try dismantle it with the lights on... so again... marlin went to switch the whole electricity off n we worked in the dark!! thx to ong's ericson's hp's flash, we managed to see without too much difficulty..

But in the end, the whole thing was connected to the chip (im v sure u dun undeztand wad im toking about.. u can see the fan physically when u come to my house n u'll undeztand wad im sayin).. so in the end, the frustrated me... n the finally frustrated marlin asked ong to get a scissors... yeapz.. we CUT the wire ^_^ hueheuuehueheue

It'll cost me a new fan to pay the owner.. but then it saves us all the trouble.. in any case the fan wouldnt be able to be mounted back to the wall... haiz.. if only we cut it from the beginning =p! huehuheuheehuehuee

Oh yea.. i met my lecturer in the natsu matsuri!! huehuee.. i didnt know he's married to a pretty japanese wife.. n he has a v cute little kid wearing yukata last night... huehuehueheu cool ^_^

nana: Yeaaaa nakatsu rawkkkkkssss..... huehuehue.. n i agree with you.. shun oguri smiles weirdly in the show!! i think he looks best in hana yori dango... makes me go *ruuiiiiiiiiii*.. hehe.. in gokusen he looks fun... he doesnt look silly when he smile =p but nvm.. my fav is still nakatsu... yuujiro cant beat nakatsu.. haha... nakatsu's real name is toma ikuta (klu ga salah johnny jg d..) he played 'neverland' YEARSSS ago with ken miyake.. (dont watch that show.. quite dumb)...
