My convocation XD ooPZ..sorry.. telat banget XD

Ehrm.. where should I start XD XD... uda agak lupa XD XD



Erhm.. let me start all over again with ACKNOWLEDGEMENT dolo yakh.. *refer to previous blog entry*.. haha.. I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be on THAT stage, wearing THAT robe, receiving THAT piece of paper which matters most in this world of tight competition =] next, I would like to thank my parents who especially came to singapore to witness the convocation of their first child XD.. it meant alot to me.. thank you for funding my expensive education all these years....... and thank you to my siblings for offering (or being forced to) to keep our retail shop intact the few days my parents were in singapore XD



Thank you for my friends (refer to previous convocation entry) for their unconditional support, scoldings and entertainment and especially to sharon for giving 1 extra ticket so that my aunt could sit at the auditorium... and of course, marlin for coming in the middle of the rain taking so many beautiful pics ^_^v



OKEY.. enuf of acknowledgement.. u guys are touched enough with the acks? XD hehee.. well.. here it goes..... ehrm... well.. i stayed over at orchard with my parents the night before.. and my mum *as usual* very kay-poh about how the robe looked like n stuff like that.. so we tried out the robe.. n she shrieked to see that the robe was super crumpled O_o' .... well.. i didnt give a big D about it being crumpled or not.. after all, ill only wear it for a couple of hours.. and it's dark blue O_o... well eniweiz.. being my mother... she always like everything straight and smooth... so she spent quite abit of time ironing the robe... n even after i bathe, she was still ironing =p hehe.. thx mom.... ^_^v



The next day, we woke up early and was ready to go right on time.. before that, we had time to take pics.. actually it was pointless pics, because i wasnt wearing my robe and all.. XD..



It was a long journey back to the west O_o n thank god it wasnt so crowded... we reached ntu at 8.30 and the sky was already dark.. i was grumbling and said 'dun tell me its gona rain.. its SOOO not gona be fun if it rains..'.... I went to the audi.. and saw alot of people already walking abouts... n none of them i know XD... either they're top skippers like me... or just that im the skipper tat i dont know them =p..



Spotted my first friend taking pics outside.. n the 4 of us (mum, dad, aunt n me) became so anxious to take pics pics pics and pics XD... it's like we couldnt stop taking pics even at one spot.. anyway.. it was pretty hard to teach them how to hold the camera.. my camera has this 'anti-shock' thing... but well..... XD sometimes those functions alone are not enough.. HAHA! but apparently, my dad learnt how to operate it minimally... and thus, able to take pics of me n mum, me n aunt, etc... XD not bad.. =]



Afterward, gotten our extra piece of tix, we went to audi.. anyway.. there were a few times my mum pointed out to some people saying 'tuw! kalo ga di gosok, tatz how ur robe gona look like' *in indo, ofcoz*... geez.. thx mom *hugs*



Finally saw the bunch of batch-mate.. and we were already ushered to go into the audi before we could even take any pics O_o'



In the audi, i was seated between two strangers.. but redwan was a few seats away, yinhao was few seats away bhind me, and ching hwee was just in front of me.. so pretty ok lagh... the ceremony started exactly like how it started 4 years ago, when i first stepped in to NTU's freshment commencement... we were allowed to try the robe 4 years back.. and when the song was blasted, the deans and chairs and *i duno wad else to call them XD*, they slowly descended the auditorium in their bright and colourful robes *which reminds me of harry potter robes*.. and on to the stage...



So, the dejavu feeling came... and i was pretty close to tears because THAT moment was considered 'FAR AWAY dream' 4 years ago.. and there I was, in the nanyang audi, in that robe PLUS the hat 4 years later, ready to be called a bachelor of engineering =] I know im not suposed to be a proud one.. but it was a moment to remember.. =]



Then, the ceremony began.. pretty briefly.. but when the guest of honor was called to give a speech, me n moja were already smsing each other XD.. n we were complaining 'enough lahhhh' or 'just call our names already lahhhh' n stuff like that XD



Finally, it was the moment we had been waiting XD... they called the doctors of XXX *dun remember*... and then the masters of XXX... and finally bacherlof of engineering (computer engineering)... weeeheee.....



It was good that we were allowed to 'observe' those phDs and masters so that we know what to do when we got on the stage *look at the camera man and give the happiest smile! duh!* the next few hundred people were pretty taxing.. we heard a decrescendo of clappings each time a name was called XD....



N when it got to my next row's turn, the usher told them to stop O_o' towew... they inserted an entertainment in between O_o so that the dean can rest his shaky hands after shaking few hundred people XD XD XD XD XD



The entertainment happened to be erhu performance... the song was super sad.. *which i seriously think is a WRONG choice of song to be played at such a joyous occasion O_o* but the performance was great! there were so much emotions in it and the song was playing in my head until that night... *ofcoz now i forgot abt it already*



The next few minutes were a blur.. and soon enough, i was on the stage, handing over my name card and being called... =] shaked hands with the dean... smile, pose and walk away with a blue file branded "NTU" in my hands.... n THAT'S IT!! I have GRADUATED!!! WEE HEEE... somehow, at that point of time, it didnt matter wad grades i got, just that i managed to GRADUATE and I was happy enough to graduate together with the rest..



As expected, we could not take it to wait in our seats for any longer XD we were really counting down when the Computer science people were called =p n i clapped hard when Habuy was called.... and then subsequently, missing cicak, bebek, imam and yongky because i was too busy smsing.. OopZ... XD XD XD XD XD



The ceremony was declared close by dumbledore (he really did look like dumbledore.. and had a voice like dumbledore ~harry potter 1 and 2).. hehe.. n in the same sequence, they ascended up and out of the auditorium, followed by the graduates... how i love that sounds... graduates ^_^v



Outside, i spotted marlin right away.. n she bought me the NTU bearrrr gya gya gyaaaaa!! arigatouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu XD XD XD XD XD ive already said i wanted to buy the bear the first time i saw it when i arrived.. but my mum said it would be too rushed.. and told me to buy it after the convo... so thanxxxxxx aloadza lin!!! huhehuehuehue...



N marlin presence is the beginning of alot of snapping pictures and it was the end of my camera's role on that day XD... it was pretty funny if i want to take pic with someone, that person would give his/her camera to marlin.. and marlin will use her own camera to take our pics.. and then my friend's camera.. and THEN my camera.... so in the end, we just stopped using my camera with silent agreement..



Managed to take pics with alot of pics.. many of my friends whom already promised to take pics together from years ago as the part of our encouraging each other campaign XD... we usually used the sentence "jia you! hang in there!! it's only a few more modules left before we can throw hat together"... XD



Which, speaking of which, i MISSED!!!! i didnt hear it when moja called out to the indos from the stage to takes pics together.. .arghhhhhhhhhhhh sad lahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh missed it O_o'



I also took pic not only with my own prof, but with prof yeow XD XD he was kind enough to re-wear his super nice robe to take pics with me... n he shook my hands and congratulated me *Gyaaaaaa XD* my parents were commenting 'how come he's so popular with girls' when they saw him taking pics SURROUNDED by erhm.. LADIES.... well.. he's charming.. tatz y XD



There was a free photo booth at the back of the hall and we were able to claim our pics right away... took one with my parents.. and then one with my aunt.. and then one with marlin (but the one with marlin was not printed out.. sad lah)...



Just when we were about to go, i checked my message and realized that i missed my DDP member XD.. since he was already on the way, i called him back XD XD XD.. n when i was about to take the stage pics, i saw the vietnamese guy who was rumoured with venny =p... n i took pic with him as wel...



Tat was almost the end of my happy convocation day =]



At night, when we were supposed to have dinner, my aunt volunteered to pray for me n marlin T.T... so touched........ She thanked God for guiding both of us through the education journey.. and prayed for our jobs, our future erhm.. 'partners'..... amen..... tenkyu T.T



And as it says, always start everything with a prayer and ends everything in a prayer... =] that's how the commencement of my education journey and finally the convocation.. they were al in prayers =]



ps: there's one particular friend whom I know and was pretty close, who didnt manage to graduate together due to fyp reason... to you, i pray that you will work hard and graduate proudly at the next batch!! I know u can do it!!!!! jia you!!!
