happy birthday singapore!

It was almost like a normal weekend this year.. because I dont have a 'national day' off.. no national day celebration like how it was in secondary school or JC.. n definitely, no one really care about it in office =p



Woke up exactly at 7.15 today.. (coz i peeked at my alarm clock) =p.. n ofcoz i got back to sleep knowing i dont have to go to office today =p.. eniweiz... cut the story short, I got out of the house abt 11.30.. n waited for the girls and boy downstairs at ntuc.. wanted to buy spring chicken for lunch.. but apparently they're still close O_o wad d hell O_o'



We made our journey to bukit panjang quite fast.. n met wijen n sbass at the market... our menu for the day:
1. nasi kuning (no pork)
2. tempe goreng (no pork)
3. ayam goreng (no pork)
4. rawon (not hallal)
5. onion ring
6. telor goreng spring onion



did i miss anything? oh.. the dessert thing.. i forgot wad cake it was.. XD



Anyway.. it took us pretty fast to cook the stuff.. XD but by the time we were seated at the round table, i just realized that we were all hungry.. O_o'



When wijen distributed the food, he gave each of us a mountain pile of nasi kuning.. but we gobled it down without any much complains =p



Most of the food was too salty XD because chink didn't really use any measurement.. she just tipped the plastic container just like that XD.. but anyway.. again, we ate it anyway =p



The saviour of the day was the chilly we got from buying the ayam goreng.. the ayam goreng is actually from a malay stall, but cooked indonesian style! pretty good ^_^v n the chilly.. omigosh! they're just v v v nice... XD



Then... the rawon was super interesting XD... it was the first time i ate a non-halal rawon XD... the meat was pork... n wijen added alot of pork sausages (sosis bandung, tepatnya.. *yum...*) into it... there's also long beans and carrot *ewh!*... well it turned out that it's called rawon just because it's BLACK in colour... other than that, you can say it is more to 'sosis sop' XD



Onion ring was good.. n the tempe donk.... abang2 style banget... *jadi pengen lg T.T*... telor goreng... yeaipz... pokoke indo abis XD... i ate really ALOT until i could not stand up straight O_o' n when we were about to go, i changed into other T-shirt.. n it was super obvious that my tummy shows XD...



We were about to go to NDP ^_^v it was not a smooth journey per se... becoz our bus was stopped at bras basah complex n was told tat it was the last stop since the bus route was closed because of the NDP... so we walked towards suntec.. n stopped for a while to take some narcistic pics of ourselves..



In front of suntec, there's this YEOH stall.. n i tot i'd buy drinks there.. but apparently, the drinks were free for people wearing red.. n we could take free pics too!! haha!! so we did =p we were given 2 copies.. 1 copy was a postcard, which we were supposed to write something and give it back to the organizer, for them to paste it on a big 'hall of fame' wall thing..



Wanting to be 'different', we wrote in a few languages... japanese, SUNDANESE n english lah XD.. n according to wijen's words, chink wrote 'HIDUP BANDUNG' on the postcard as well O_o'



Finally we made our way to marina square... n just when we stepped into it, wijen wanted to see G2000, which was on sale.. $25 for pants or skirts or shirts.. migosh.. i couldn't stop myself either =p so we both spent some time n some money there XD.. afterward, it was time to elbow our way to esplanade O_o'



It was pretty dfficult.. they blocked so many entrances!! we cant even walk down the stairs from marina sq to esplanade!!! darn..... after we reached esplanade, it was soo full tat we could only have option to go to the bridge... n when we were on the edge of the bridge, the stupid policeman didnt let us in................................................. we had to make do standing by the roadside.... with irritating policemen kept coming back and show that kind of face which makes me mood just went 'down...' n i duno why.. they're supposedly super busy today.. but they kept on picking people on small things like 'no leaning' 'no standing there' 'no sitting there' just plainly IRRITATING..... I think they need more work lah.. they were super free that they had to find faults in others.. O_o



Before it even started, it rained.... O_o' it was my first rainy national day haha!! our surroundings get more and more crowded once the rain has ceased a little... n maybe, after 15minutes, it was drizzling again O_o' n the sky that i was looking at was pretty blue... (the one above the NDP ground).. but when i looked up... the sky above me was scaringly grey.... it's almost like it is ready to pour out the rain any time soon O_o



We finally took our leave... tried to get a place at marina sq foodcourt.. n we really tried to stretch our stay there to the max XD... oh ya.. wijen, who was in his friend's house, kept on calling del to tell the progress of the NDP.. how he could see everything CLEARLY from the tv COMFORTABLY o_o



Again, we tried our luck looking for pretty easy spot to watch the fireworks... n finally we settled at marina sq.. just minutes before the fireworks started, there's this young ah-beng, who pulled out a flower pot and he went inside the 'bush' to get a good spot.. chink went to survey the 'spot' but came back.. XD.. then we watched the first part of the fireworks... some people took their leave and thus, we were more flexible to more around...



Then, chink dragged del to the 'flower pot' spot.... n they both didnt come back.. so i thought it must have been clearer there XD... so i squeezed myself in also... n when I looked up, i saw the ah-beng boy bending his head to kiss his gf..... XD XD XD luckily he went ahead as he planned.. i would nt know how to say sorry if the girl blamed me because she missed the kiss XD XD



After that, I came back to the guys.. and found out that they have elected themselves to a clearer space!! weeheeee.... so our 2nd part of fireworks were better XD but it lasted too short that it made our 'sacrifices' today not really worth it =p



Anyway... it was a fun day, nevertheless.. just tat im pretty tired now O_o gdniteeee =]



PS: I watched LAST FRIEND 1st episode last night... n ryochan was really super charming there =p.... n when he was angry... it was HONTOU NI KOWAIIIII!!!!!!!!!! I hope rei is okay XD... hahaha... the story is pretty complicated and unconventional... it's about a few of them being friends... masami likes ryo, ryo is very possessed abt masami... n then there's this very boyish girl (nodame) who likes masami (yes, u read correctly.. there's element of shoujo-ai in this show) . n always tried to protect her... then there's a hairstyler, takeru (mine-kun) who is 'weak' about relationships... and he is (im guessing) in love with nodame... n then, nodame's housemate who introduced nodame to takeru (mine), who (im guessing again) likes mine-kun....... I really think this is a heavy n kinda complicated dorama O_o' duno when ill watch it again XD
