mid may..

As u guys know, i wasnt booked ever since my 'project' ends in... feb... until now, ive been getting jobs here n there, but not the project on my own... so, im more of playing a role of 'helping out'... rather than 'working in a project'... n i was seriously worried about the state of my bookings, that i was quite glummy few weeks back.. n i was pretty sure that i wont make it here till i get my PR... =p



But Lo! it's May now.... mid may.... haha... im already booked for 'DECEMBER' but from may-december? wad can i do? O_o' but anyway, it shld be ok lagh.. to put it simply, i dont really have that 'direction' or 'start with an end in mind' kind of attitude... i dun really know what i wanna achieve by working here... why am I holding on... and other things... so... ya.. i duno how to move on from here... n im simply being dragged by small milestones... 'wait till PR is out..' wait till promotion result is out... wait till bonus is out... wait till etc etc and etc..



Anyway, one girl told me that in her company, it matters who your CLIQUES are... and anyway, she might not be able to go out with her colleagues so much becoz she needs to save up.... and *this is somthing i dont understand too*... most of my colleagues go out drinking like once a week... then go for other kind of 'expensive' activities every other days... which, to my thinking, how can they? maybe because i needed to pay rent.. maybe i needed to pay tuition fee loan.. but still... the amount of me paying the rent, etc cannot be compared to what they buy... example... designer bags.. god knows how much the bags cost... if u see them tigheting their belts for few months, then u know they can buy it... but still.. u see them go to restaurants every other day... n $30/meal is 'ok leh.. quite cheap'.... and it's like they go overseas on everysingle "leave" they took.. XD oopz im side tracking...



anyway.. so, she decided not to go out with her colleagues once the 5.30 bell goes off... n guess wad... she has no bookings now... XD.. n she told me that this is really bad, because her bosses only choose people THEY like... not based on skills... wadahell :s i also agree with her, in terms of plush spendings by my own department.... whenever new joiners come, they'll throw a party, which, when i told my other friends, they'll be green with envy... and when someone is leaving the company, they'll too, throw a 'farewell'.... which, i agree to certain extent, is a very sweet thing to welcome and thanking someone of their hard work.... and not to mention, there are a lot of other 'bonding' activities... which, the cost would be divided in proportion lagh... so that the managers pay higher, we pay lower..., etc....



BUT.... must it always be a high class restaurants which cost $28 for a LUNCH O_o.. ok.. the highest has been $35 =s damn ex... the cheapest was $10 (after 1 for 1 promotion... can u imagine that =s).. of course, i agree, u need a certain degree of 'posh-ness' to show your appreciation to this special someone who has agreed to join.. or has put their blood and sweat in your company... but...... so EX =s....



Anyway... one of my friends just got a new project n she's now based in a mall XD.. one of the biggest mall, with many many good food and she's quite pampered with choices of well... maybe more than 4 food court to last her for 6 weeks..! BUT.. XD she was with a senior and 1st day, her senior decided on a restaurant for lunch =p which, cost her $25 XD... n 2nd day, after realizing her mistake of saying 'up to you' to her senior, she said 'eat at foodcourt'... and third day, the senior announced to her that they're eating at a restaurant for lunch again XD... wakakakak... but good thing that the 3rd day was the senior's treat lah..



anyway.. the bottom line of these stories are: it's so hard to save up after you are working.. coz somehow, ur colleagues pressurize you into doing something XD..... and well, if i end up like my first fren.... whew (somehow i already end up like her with no bookings at all).. but at least, i do join the company's activities lah =p



so........ enough for the complaints.... it's time to enjoy the weekendddd yeaeaaaa
