singing...

The only thing worth mentioning while i was in indo is that i went for singing lesson...
*gasp!* i told some of u already.. well..

It all started with my dad n my aunt going for this activities from their old school... there are different activities each night.. computer lessons, dance lessons, singing lessons, language lessons, etc.... My dad joined once a week singing lesson with his own schoolmates and once a week with his own classmates.. total up, 2x a week of singing lessons O_o'!

Eniweiz.. it seems that their group has gotten larger and more competent that they decide to sing for few events... n now, time to show off their claws by joining erhm.. some asian-wide singing competition for choir in jakarta.. (not sure when).. thennnn the group brought in a new teacher for them..

N guess wad? they're all hooked to this teacher!! my dad cant stop giving us (the kids) 'lecturing' for the day of what he's learnt from the teacher..

keeping long story short, he n my grand uncle requested for a private singing lesson from the guy.. so when i got back to indo, he asked me to go for singing lesson too.. ofcoz i said NO.. like... FOR WADD???...

Then he said 'ya uda.. nonton papa nyanyi...' ^_^;;; alrite2.. i went with him.. n then.. he said to the teacher that he's having flu tat day n that I would be taking over the lesson O_o' !SYIURRRRRRRRRRR

then.. the teacher (his name is natan, btw).. asked me y i want to sing.... HEH?? well.. i told him the truth.. my dad cheated me.. hohoo!!! he then asked me the history of my singing.. i told him i was in church choir yearrssssss ago before i came to singapore,... n that i like singing on KTV.. huehuee.. he chuckled.. no.. he laughed out loud O_o'

N then he asked me to do some warming up.. teaching me how to sing from the 'top'.. afterwards.. he gave me lecture... 'uv got a nice clear voice.. u shld join choir.. its such a waste.. u r still young.. sing soprano.. yada yada yada..' whew.. im a soprano! hueheue... iv always tot im an alto..

Then.. we sang some songs... he taught me how to sing the words.. for example: how great thou art.. should be sung like this: hoooooooooow greaaaaaaat thoooou aaaaaaaaaaaaaaart... u know? sing vowels and not consonants...

Then at the end of our lesson, of course another lecture... 'ok? so u should join choir.. do u go to church there? y not join the choir? yadayada..'....

well... i was hooked to singing lessons!! wakakaka i know its quite dumb spending such amount of $$ for an hour of singing.. (mendingan KTV berjam jam..) huehuee.. so... 3 days after tat, we fixed a date with him again.. (this time me n sis were supposed to take the lesson).. but then he couldnt make it..

Oopz.. i forgot to mention a very cool fact.. this guy, is one (out of four) of the chosen one by erhm (duno who).. to travel around the world to study history of singing, and to learn singing techniques.. he's been to various countries n the last stop before he came back to indo was to learn singin for opera..!! huehuee.. coool, eh? ^_^

Thennn the next lesson was supposed to be between me n my sis.. 30 mins each.. but he had another plan.. he gave us a song from les miserables (is this how i spell it?) entitlted 'i dream a dream'.. we learnt it on the spot.. nice song.. with a very nice lyrics.. but somehow i know his plan is to make me realize how the word 'dream' does not seem important when you were young... n when you get older, u'll realize that u've used up and wasted your dream.. its too late..

SO.. yesterday.. nana was telling me she emailed SYC.. wakaka.. well2.. come lets join something before the fire in me fades na!! huehuehuee.... ow.. my teacher told me that there was youth choir last last week in bandung (in UNPAR) !!! i didnt even know!! O_o' he said itz just concert from all over the world.. few people from japan, few people from singapore.. few people from korea... n they're joined to form a choir.. cool, eh? ^_^ he said its annual-ly event..!

I dont have the slightest idea ^_^;;

Gee.. sbass.. u might know the guy.. hahaa! he teaches SMAK 1's choir! =p
my sis said whenever he teaches at the school choir, he's quite er.... scary ^_^;;;;;
but no.. he's a nice guy ^_^ a qualified teacher.. n he, himself has a super nice voice....
