Day3...

The purpose driven life… this is what ive gotten for the past few days… :D eniwei.. by writing these quotations does tat mean ive committed ergh.. copyright infringement? No? haha okay.. :p here we go….

Day3 : people are driven by something in life.. some by fear (fear-driven people would missed out opportunities.. instead, the bible says ‘well-formed love banishes fear. Since fear is crippling, a fearful life – fear of death, fear of judgement- is one not yet fully formed in love’), approval from others (need to please everyone… the author said that he frankly dun noe wad are keys to success, but 1 key to failure is trying to please everyone.. true eh? N they said ‘no one can serve two masters) :D , resentment and anger (only we could forget and move on! “to worry yourself to death with resentment would be foolish, senseless thing to do), guilty (but the bible says "What happiness for those whose guilt has been forgiven..! what relief for those who have confessed their sins and God has cleared their record”)… Nothing matters more than knowing God’s purposes for your life, and nothing can compensate for not knowing them.

Benefits of purpose-driven living:
1. Gives meaning to your life:
“I feel like a failure because im struggling to become something and I dun even know wad it is. All I know how to do is to get by. Someday, if I discover my purpose, I’ll feel im beginning to live” The greatest tragedy in life is not death.. but living without purpose. Hope comes from having a purpose…..
*er… I tink i share the same feeling... struggling to become something but duno wad isit...

2. Simplifies your life: coz it defines wad u do n dun do.
Without a clear purpose u hv no foundation on which u base decision, allocate time n resources and hence tend to make choices based on circumstances, pressures, mood at the moment, which causes stress, fatigue and conflict..
*me again -_-‘ I alwiz say ‘see later… see my mood’ MY!!!!!!!!!
The book says tat it is impossible to do everyting pple want u 2 do. U hv juz enuff time to do God’s will.. “a pretentious, showy life is an empty life; a plain, simple life is a full life.” (I dun quite understand this quotation, wther I fall into which category.. but yeah.. itz true tat simple life is fuller… coz u tend to enjoy each n every moment of it… :D)

3. Focuses your life: concentrates efforts n energy on wadz important (effective by being selective)…. Without clear purpose, u’ll keep changing direction, jobs, relationships, churches, etc. , hoping each change will settle the confusion / fill the emptiness in ur heart, by thinking’maybe this time will be different’ But it doesn’t solve ur real problem, ie. A lack of focus n purpose. Theres nothing quite as potent as a focused life, one lived on purpose.
*OMG ITS ME!!!!!! lack of purpose.. I weigh the churches.. thinking tat maybe a different church could make me feel more ‘belong’ or make me ‘settle’ in that church or something? Haizzzzzzzzzzz ive decided to join choir in ORPC.. but it juz so very impossible for me to juz go to their choir session n say ‘hi! I wanna join ur choir!’ pple will like ‘er???!!!! O_o’ THEN HOW??!!!

4. Motivates your life: Purpose produces passion. Nothing energizes like a clear purpose. Passion dissipates when u lack a purpose (juz getting out of bed becomes a major chore *OMG ITZ ME AGAIN!!!*). True joy of life is being used up for a purpose recognized as a mighty one; Being a force of nature instead of a feverish, selfish little clot of ailments and grievances complaining tat the world will not devote itself to making u happy…
*er.. I never tink of the last sentence… :p*

5. Prepares you for eternity: do u want to be remembered when u r gone?
Y?? when u know what ultimately matters most will be what God says to u! one day, each of us will stand b4 God, he’ll do an audit of ur life, a final exam b4 u enter eternity. “Remember each of us will stand personally before the judgement seat of God… Yes, each of us will have to give a personal account to God.” Fortunately, God wants us to pass this test. He has given the question in advance….
1. “what did u do with my Son, Jesus christ?” He wun ask about religious background or doctrinal views….. what matter is did YOU accept what Jesus did for you and did u learn to love and trust him?
2. “what did u do with what I gave you?” which means talents, opportunities, gifts, energy, relationships, resources God gave you…. Did u spend it yourself or use them for the purpose God made you for….
The first question determine where you will spend eternity, the second, What u do in eternity………

*I want to be remembered when im gone… but I know this is a selfish nature of me… I hope God will remember me too.. a girl who hav troubled him sooo much n he loves sooo much too…… I accepted Jesus Christ longggg ago… but I have not loved him as I should have………. As for the talents u hav given me… it has gone quite astray… I have not been using it to the fullest… musical talents gone to KTV instead of praising you… intelligence has gone worse….. ive relied on my ‘intelligence’ n luck sooo much tat ive not been studying well….. resolution : im not gona waste my time… im gona study study study.. at least at my own pace n goal….. :D*
