first xmas ^_^

O_o’ sorry for not updating for sooo long… have been quite ‘occupied’ these days.. not exactly busy tho… Ive finally seen nana’s pic from my hotmail sent by marlin… nana looks soooo gorgeousssssss!!!!!!!!! The one of her n her cogan… wekekeke… nice picz!!! Looks like she had a lot of fun on her prom day.. haha…

Update2…………

The elderly’s xmas went smooth… My first aunt called me in the morning saying ‘ching.. nanti kamu yang maen keyboard yagh! Jam 1 loch.. pergi ga?’ me, still not quite awaken, said ‘no2.. im not going anywhere..’ then she went ‘HAA? Then hu will be taking care of the music?’ then I went ‘egh.. iya2… I mean im not going anywhere.. so I can make it for the last practice at 1..’ so she said ‘ok2.. so take down these songs.. we wish u merry xmas play in F… jingle bells.. play in F… silent night play in A…’ then I went HA???? *widely awake now..* u mean I play the clavinova? Then she said ‘ofcourse…’ ~~~NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~~~ eniweiz after bargaining, I finaly settled on keyboard.. *phew..* my reasons are the following

in my church, the left side of the altar is a grandpiano.. while the right side is the clavinova.. so u know tat itz rather FRONT O_o’ I could get stage-fright.. fingers numb… brain dead.. O_o’

secondly, im more familiar with her keyboard… rather than having to press loadza buttons to try out which rhythm goes with each songs in ‘public’

thirdly, I could sit on congregation’s seat while playing keyboard n adjusting the volume MYSELF… so can make it quite soft wakakakakaka!!!!
so I went on practicing the few xmas songs… The thought of having to play at the elderly’s xmas is NOT that frightening.. I mean… the elderly wun know which is the better piano player or how disastrous u played.. or that you should be playing C7 instead of C…. so… just get the songs right… no need of fanciful chords…. N off I went with my granma to the church…

finally at 3, the elderly xmas starts.. quite difficult to hush all the elderly.. =p the pianist, Riana, was whispering to me ‘v noisy agh.. O_o’ imagine me has to be their pianist once a month..’… true leh.. to hush them, u gota SHOUT for the to hear you.. then first song is sung… I was playing the keyboard behind the piano.. Riana shot me a look ‘CANNOT HEAR!!’ but I wasn’t about to increase the volume =p… I did increase tho.. enuff for her to hear the sound.. but not for the whole congregation.. so dunid to worry when I press wrong key =p

A meaningful sermon by the old pastor’s wife.. quite a short sermon coz she’s still in recovery from her not-functioning-kidney… next up was xmas celebration.. celebrating the bdae of Christ,… also the bdae of the congregations whose bdae is in sept oct nov n dec… they were called up to get a piece of flower to be pin up on their clothes plus cutting the cake… some came out hunched, some walked very slowly.. some gota be assisted by their accompanion… some had difficulty in walking already.. but nevertheless… the mood was high… my aunt who was the MC for that afternoon said something v touching *at least to me*.. she said ‘I admired you, elderly, that in your old age like this, some in your own difficulties, would come to church… I pray to God, that I could be like you all in my old age too..’ I think itz really true.. that afternoon, before 3 o clock strikes, it was a heavy downpour with lightnings… YET.. at 2 plus, some of them were already sitted on the congregation waiting patiently for 3 o clock to come……

Back to the birthday tingy… before they sing happy bdae, they were saying ‘anyone whose bdae in dec but not yet called *or missed*? You may come out..’ I was shaking with my own laughter… wad if I put up my hand? A less than 25 year old girl amongst the 55+ year-old- people… aiz.. I should have tried, eh? :p

Well2… there were few performance… but last was that ‘jesus loves everyone’ thingy.. I duno how we should call it.. the elderly was just doing a ‘fashion show’, while the singing were done by the ‘younger’ group… as I have said before, they were wearing Chinese, American, Japanese, English and Indonesian costumes with their own flags…

It was SUPER funny I must say… especially when they changed their sentences… the English man is my fav.. he couldn’t say much during the practice.. but on that performance day, he said ‘good afternoon ladY and gentle man.. merry krismas en hepi niu yer… Jesus cry *Christ* lap *love* me……………. And you…’ then came the VERY loud cheer from the congregation… wekekeke… then when his song was done, he gave a goodbye kiss… PHEW… wad an ah-pek… =p

Lastly, everyone sang SILENT NIGHT…. While the 55-year-old and above got their xmas package T.T’

Well that’s the end of the elderly xmas.. ^_^ v fun.. especially that fashion show.. wakakaka… even my pastor was laughing till his head was so red… his wife was sitting on riana’s chair while watching the fashion show… she was laughing so loudly that she might become self conscious… then she looked to Riana n saying ‘this is so funnyyy!!’ then while we were on the car already, we saw my pastor n waved goodbye.. he then came over to our car n said to me ‘centil yagh..’ *very vain ah..* referring to my granma.. while laughing all the way…
