Christianity..

Went to a 'new' church yesterday.. It's IEC's 2nd formal service in Singapore.. This church is kinda a branch of the Hok Im Tong in Bandung.. so most of the people there are (were) from HIT bdg.... They don't have a large congregation yet, but i believe they'll grow in time =]

Well, the 'gembala' of this church is the daughter of Rev Caleb Tong, Isabel Tong.. I believe she graduated from the US and she also had some high qualifications for church music.. she did give a bit insight during her service.. she sang with a beautiful voice =]

Enihoo.. Husen, my friend who asked (encouraged, persuaded, insisted, forced or wadever u call that) me to this church, apparently got tired of calling me and sms-ing me to come XD so in the end there's this tante susan who called me and asked me to join the service =p eversince i gave my word tat i would be coming on sunday (27-1-08), there were few sms-es to ask me whether i would be able to do ushering for the congregation XD... poor husen =p hahaa

Well2.. maybe I should stop my church-hopping.. and maybe i should stop denying that indeed Im drifting further from God.. maybe i should stop thinking i can't do anything for God.. and maybe... its TIME... to do something for God... i know it is in the midst of the chaotic time.. chinese new year.. fyp... final year... but i believe, with God, i can do the unbelievable =]

Well.. the bible verse was taken from Habakkuk... n i was taken a back.. =p whereeee on eartthhhhh is Habakkuk?? i was frantically searching =p n i gave up.. i checked the 'page index' OWoopz =p that's to show how long i have not touched my bible.. XD but some consolation is, when ev Isabel start saying that habakkuk is in 'old testament... '... n i was like 'phew.. ' so others are also finding it difficult to find habakkuk =p hihi.. not that im proud of it being as 'lost' as everybody.. haha!

Habakkuk 2:4 - Behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him; but the just shall live by his faith..

The story behind this verse, is because the people were crying to God.. 'there was violence.. y God didnt do anything? y dont God help us who are in distress?' the answer is, Faith..... be faithful to the faithful God.. just do wadever u need to do faithfully.. KEEP the faith even though there might not be anything visible.. because our God is DEFINITELY is doing something, but we just cant see it yet... wait for His time to reveal everything =]

I think that's comforting enough =] ive been complaining about fyp (still complaining tho) but eversince reading marlin's blog who has become more and more inspiring and comforting these days, plus the message of God by ev Isabel, i think that's it.. keep the spirit.. keep the faith.. n let God do the rest =]
