facebook craze...

Sometimes i think my "friends" in facebook are pretty irritating...
let's first define "Friends"... friends could be someone you just met over a dinner/ lunch/ event and we took pic together and we say "ill put it up on facebook and ill tag you.. wads ur fb?" and proudly, we will declare that we are not so technologically challenged and give the address to that particular person..




Or.... "Friends" could be those OLD friends of yours that you 'MET' again on facebook because someone put up old pics of yours, which maybe you might not even remember where you stood in the pic/ sat on the pic.. or whether or not you were even in the picture, but they tagged you anyway... and soo... they'll say 'OH!! we were in the same class! let me add you as my friend'...



And that is the start of those irritating updates that you get almost every 1 minute.... seriously! something like:

"td sore maem mie baso d dkt salon ma my hunnie trnyata mpe tukang mie basonya jg ikt melambai.. gubrak bgt dah.. hahahahahaha.. ;p" or "prasaan udah pake jaket tebel koq msi dingin jg y? bbrrrrr.. apa mnta dpluq beruang kutub aj gt y? ;p".... dont you want to roll your eyes and shout it all out "PUH LEASEEEEEE"!!!!



added with those "Updates" from "Which flower you are", "Which blood type you are" and "what your name means" thing...... i mean.. SERIOUSLY.... they flooded my 'Home' page.. until i really cannot see what i needed to see!!! n well.. good thing there's this little box that says "notifications", which THANK GOODNESS, sumarizes everything related to you.. basically, whatever you 'might' need to know... so ya... it's good enough...



Ok.. my main point of writing this stupid blog entry is, I AM JUST SO SUPPER FED UP WITH THE INDOS *THE SUPER GAPTEK AND KAMPUNGAN INDOS* WHO UPDATE THEIR STUPID DAMN STATUS ALMOST EVERY MINUTE!!



There's one girl who added me few months back.. and well.. occassionally ill 'read' her status *she updates it so damn often i tell you*... n i think its so damn lame... n i didnt care about it *previously*..



Today, when i talked to novie, she told me that there's this brilliant button called 'HIDE' to just hide that person from flooding your homepage... and well.. i saw her status again... and it was the continuation from the ones i saw previously....



They're a 'trillion-logy' by the way... one status update from long time ago said 'sedih...'... another one say 'why?' another one 'napa tuhan gini ya?' another one says 'bimbang nigh..' another one says 'Masi bimbang juga'... and OFCOZ, those kind of updates kinda 'invite' comments from "caring/ kepoh" onlookers... *including me*... which, apparently, she like this one guy lah!



N i duno wad the continuation was, but today, was the peak of it all... the status message was "kadang berpikir knp yah XXX ga dikasi body yg bagus, muka yg cantik, yah maybe kl XXXdapet ituh, ga kan always broken heart da...!!!!!!!!!! =("......



Do you even want to comment? XD i might reply 'GET A LIFE!!'.... why she even bother to broadcast it to the whole world? bytheway, XXX represents her NICK name... like 'cutey' name.. for myself, maybe ill use 'LIA' try reading it again... see if u got a shiver.....



haiz.. there are just so many other things like the trivial 'makan xxx di yyy'... let's put it in singapore context.. ill update my facebook status to 'eating chicken rice at laupasat' every lunch time....... or 'ugh so full... char kway teow at chinatown! damn good'... or 'going to ntuc to buy vegetables for tonight'.... i kinda 'used to' this updates lah but dun u think it just shows how FAR BACK the indos are?

anihoo... im just so grateful to those facebook developers for being THOUGHTFUL and CONSIDERATE to me by giving me the 'HIDE' button, which i come to think that it's super useful to get rid of such messages.......


I mean, you know 'email' long time ago.. so that you dont use your email every now and then to just to 'show off' that you have an email address.. or you dont go crazy over 'chatting' anymore, because it's already 'biasa'... isnt it? i mean it's just my theory lah...

n i still remember what marlin said about her fren in indo who was buying/ bought Blackberry phone, which is considered as "Business man's phone" in singapore.... with one very idiotic reason 'biar bisa facebook'... i was torn between laughing because of the silliness of the reason.. or to raise one eyebrow and shout 'what the??'
