Weekend desu! ^_^v

Well.. for one, my japanese class will end at Intermediate 1.. and since the materials to learn for JLPT 4 is until Intermedia 1 (my current level), the rest of my classmates will take the JLPT (in December) and will only continue with Intermediate 2 NEXT YEAR...

So yea... WHAT AM I GONA DO BETWEEN NOW AND NEXT YEAR O_o'... I cannot take JLPT this year becoz the exam (unfortunately) will fall on the same day as hanychi's wedding day.. which, i foresee, would be impossible to 'skip' (or rather, impolite lah hor... let me take this opportunity to say to ALL OF YOU the reader of this BLOG, you HAVE to attend my wedding no matter wad... duno by when, but i just book you for that day first wakakak!)

Ok eniweiz, back to the question of what im gonna do between now n the next class, I started to browse through the schedules for other japanese schools.. and tada!! i found that there's one japanese school that opens new class in september n.. well, they enrol/ naek kelas every 2 months, which is just nice for hanychi too =p

*i think her husband to be should give me some credits for pushing her to work on her japanese XD, btw!*

But, for the two of us to be accepted by another school, we had to sit for a 'placement test'.. n well, from the "study plan" in the website, I found out that our current school has different curriculum XD but ok lah.. so far.. out of 7 requirements, I only 'dont know' about 2 things (grammar wise, we needed to know how to construct 'if' sentences such as 'ikeba...'.. but our school teacher us using the 'tara' form.. so i thought it was still ok mah..).. and well.. they stated that we need to at least know 100 kanji... (Ok also wad.. definitely i can RECOGNIZE more than 100 kanji by now *pede mode*

So... I sat for the placement test... FYI, the place was sentimental in a sense that it was the first place i went for KTV XD.. so ya.. as i said, FYI only... XD

Test paper was 3 pages and to be completed in 45 minutes.. first question is the usual table, whereby you are given the 'dictionary form' for Verb 1, Verb 2 and Verb 3...... and they're testing us on the changing of forms............ n guess wad... we were not taught 'volitional' form which, from the hint, the verbs should end with 'ou' or 'you'... but anyway, since we were not 'taught yet', skip! and the next section, 5 ADJECTIVES to be changed using volitional form also.. the hint stated 'yo/ desu yo'... i muttered a curse... as in.. how come the grammar that we have not been taught came up!!! in 2 sections some more!

After that, the next section is MCQ.. to choose the correct changed of verbs.. which is irritating because the ABC choices are so similar to each other =.=; and there were some vocabs such as 'tsumori' which, i often hear but suddenly i forgot what it was at that time... so.. 1 mark gone.. =.=;

2nd page was 'easier' in a way, because our current school has also taught us quite well... Translating from english to Japanese... well at least i can 'show off' my translation skills here..

Next was the MOST iritating part of the exam... the instruction is 'please translate the underlined words.. if the underlined word is in kanji, please write in Hiragana.. if the word is written in hiragana, please write the kanji word'..

u know what? I DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE KANJI...!!! CHIKUUUSHHHOOOOOOO!!!!

I can easily write the hiragana for all kanji-underlined words... but well, for those they give the hiragana, I DONT KNOW HOW TO WRITE!!! even though im 100% sure ill recognize the kanji if I read them anywhere... like 'benkyou' (i know im so stupidly idiotically baka for not knowing how to write benkyou.. but yea, i really didnt know how to!)... 'shigoto'... etc...

The only 'thing' that i can remember was 'denwa'.. coz it seems like the chinese word 'dian hua'... n u know what? i wrote in the 'simplified chinese' which, IS NOT the KANJI!!!!

So ya, i finished my exam in about 20 minutes.. given up coz no matter how hard i tried, there'll be no WAY to get the answer popped up anyway.. =p the receptionist asked me whether i want to wait 'for a few minutes' so that the teacher can mark it...'.. "paiseh-ly but still look pede and kind of in a rushed" modei said 'dunid ^_^ ill call' hahaa!!

OFCOZ i dowan to be there when they say 'You failed' XD

So, off i went to natsu matsuri..... XD cut story short, I met Tony and asked him about the 'volitional' form that i wasnt 'taught'.... n he simply said 'itu kan.. yang kayak tabemashou... ikimashou'.... can u understand why i want to scream shout and curse out loud? The word tested was 'toru'.. which means 'taking photo'.. so the volitional form is 'torimashou?'! good god almighty.. i gave away 5 marks just like that O_O' and the adjectives.. such as 'ii'... its so freaking easy!! "ii desu yo", etc.!!!! craaaaaaaaappppp

When i saw chinx, she also said that she was not able to do it and 'will definitely fail..' so ya.. none of us want to call the school to ask for the result =p wakakak annnnddddd we delayed to call the recept! =p until on wednesday, when i was talking to lin on msn... i asked her to call =p since she was free in her office =p i told her EXPLICITLY to ask whether we pass/ not.. DONT have to ask the exact mark =p

n she msged me on msn something like this:

lin: mwahahahaha!! r u gona give me a treat?

me: huh? how how?

lin: harus traktir dulu baru gw kasi tao

*i know i was abit dumb to ask her... should just ask call the receptionist myself, huh!*

me: bratii ada hope bisa pass donk? tapi kyknya gw ga brani berharap waakakaka

lin: hahahah!! pokoke harus traktir dulu!

me: gw traktir es potong de!

lin: ga mao! ga usa yang mahal2 lah! 1for1 deal jg boleh..

me: *still insist dowan to treat her..*

me: ARGHHHHHHHHH JANGAN PULANG DULU kasi tao dulu resultnya *i know im super dumb to still hanging on her answer... why couldnt i just call on my own?!!*

XD XD XD XD XD LUCKILY she didnt give me the exact score =p =p wakakak!! I burst out laughing when i read the 4 letter F word XD... i mean.. ive THOUGHT and KNOWN that i definitely failed and that it wld take super miracle to pass XD but ya.. i just need the confirmation and slapped my back to reality that ive failed wakakakaka..

Before i met hanychi for our japanese class, i did the same trick as lin.. i msged her and told her that she owed me a treat.. but unlike me, she was sooooo PEDE and she knew it outright that she'll fail =p so she didnt fall for it.. but at the end when i shook her hand and said 'omedetou', she did look abit hopeful though.. wakakak!! good joke, lin! *although i still feel like strangling you!*

Anyway, even so, i can take the previous class (intermediate 1).. and well, i intend to .... anyway, there's always a learning point mah.. so ya, when they say u have to know 100 kanji means u can read, write, understand fully 100 kanji =p desune....

my current school did not emphasize on kanji so much.. even the exam we took last week, on every kanji word, there's hiragana on top of it.. so, shiken ga, kantan deshita =p

Looking forward for this new school =] from the website, it seemed like they have more 'livelier' environment.. and they have some 'gathering' and 'events' every now and then.. so ya... looking forward to it! ^_^ moga2 ada vacancies =p
