Fun-filling journey

To the land of the rising sun =D
What can I say? Japan is a very aspiring country...... everything is orderly and clean, technology is at the most advanced stage and the people are respectful of each other... simply... astonishing =D
Well, mainly you dont get such treatment in the 2 countries i know best, indo or Singapore =p
Our plan itself, i would say, is common, coz we visited most tourist attractions.. but wad made the difference is the group of people I go with.. XD they're sometimes dorky, sometimes intelligent, sometimes forgiving, sometimes crazy,... we got excited together, laugh at each other, got lost together, got confused together, and LAUGH AT IT TOGETHER XD There were countless moments where we were soooo panicked.... and soo tensed... and afterward, we'll laugh like crazy together... XD...
The 12 days fun-filled journey was arranged, none other, by US... with the help of Hanychi-chan... tats why our cost for the 12 days can go below $3K.. (inclusive $730 air tix, mind you!) *my, i sound like making commercials O.O*
Wad's in my mind when we speak about the J country..:
1. Endless bowing and thanking (arigatou gozaimashita, douzo,... sumimasennnn)
2. Orderly and respectful (when waiting for trains, they QUEUED in the platform okay!! not like those pple in Raffless Place during Rush hours, where people just rammed into the open door!!)... When we bring our luggage, getting lost in Ikebukuro station, no one bumped into us or "CK!"-ing on us... nice people.. thumbs up!! There was one or two incidents where someone tripped on our luggage, maybe because we stopped suddenly, or wadever, but it was THEM who say "sumimasen" and again, bow to you O_o haha.. kawaii na.. XD... oh ya.. my last few lessons before the Intermediate class ended is about "respectful" language... yup, Japanese has a way of speaking in a respectful manner... and im soooo grateful that I learnt it prior to the trip! Coz, if I hadn't, I would not understand what they're saying O_O... mind you, the "respectful" language is REALLY pretty different than the way I have learnt so far... so, ya... I was able to appreciate the Japanese better during the trip =D
Coz, they speak in the most respectful way that you dont even see the need for them doing such... For example, in the train, they are saying "doors are closing, please be careful.... this train is bound for XXX".... the portion when they say "please be careful", they use pre-fix "go"... (go-chuui kudasai)..., n when they are saying that this train is bound for XXX, they use "mairimasu" instead of "ikimasu"......When the bus has finally reached a bus stop, the Bus driver will first say "sorry to have kept you waiting, we have reached XXXX)... he'll open the door and THANK every single customer leaving the bus O_o' how cool issat!! Then, the new passengers going on board will go up to the bus and the bus driver will say "douzo.." TO every SINGLE customer going up the bus....
3. Everywhere you eat, u r presented with very Fat, Chewy, Sticky rice.... yummzzzzzzzzzz
4. Alot alot alot of vending machines... XD that coke has become a rare drink that you can get from vending machine =p
5. Very very clean city....... but very hard to find trash bins... weirds O_o I ended up bringing my trashes in my pocket everywhere I travel to, until I find one trash bin..
6. Many many many many cute guys!!!!!! seriously... just step into the train, n u'll see a couple of them in one train compartment!! Even guys in the markets or those cycling around town, or host club "marketers" are good looking in general... (of course, boys in uniform ARE naturally boyish-ly cute) !!! The girls... one pastry girl near our hotel looked like Ueto Aya from Attention please XD..., the girls and guys we saw in Disneyland are really interesting! they don't mind dressing up or wear the Disney accessories... CUTENESS!!
7. Step into any Konbini, and u'll be spoilt with various choices of good food... instant noodles, instant soup, fresh pies, baos, odens, cold bentos, onigiris, cakes, desserts, drinks, you name it.... there are just countless stuff you can choose from....!
8. Very precise timing down to the minute..! when you ask when the train is coming, in Singapore, they'll tell you "2 more minutes"... but u'll never really know when is the start of the minute.. it could be in 120 seconds more, it could be in 70 seconds.. in Japan, they tell you the exact timing of the train LEAVING the station... 10:38... so, there's no ambiguity there =D im used to hearing them just saying the minute... "the train is leaving at 38"...
9. Bubbly and chatty obaachans.... even tho they know that u r foreigner and most probably wont get half of the sentences she is saying, she'll just chirp cheerfully and smiling and bowing at you.... (see i wasnt making it up when i say alot of bowing in No.1!).... ofcoz it'll be great if next time I go there, i can understand 3/4 of what she's saying and providing good response to their chirps..
10. TOO MANY CUTE THINGS!!! Cuteness overloaded O_o I think the number one rule of manufacturing companies are "produce goods that are either cute OR cute OR cute OR cute OR cute".... even the "warning" signs have to be drawn in cuteness cartoons... omiyage sweets have to be in cute wrappings, bento sets are cute O_o;, snacks are cute...., the maids you see in akihabara are dressed in cute dresses.... :s whew.. seriously, cute overloads.. XD
Ok.. those are top 10.. Ill blog when I have the mood to....
Now im just blogging coz im too lazy to study =.=; haiz.. tomorrow is finally JLPT... i want to get at least 85%, so that I dont have to take pre-adv class.... but looking at how things are...... hahaa.. I no mood to study oredey.. so many materials that ive forgotten.. geez.......... I brought some "cheatsheets" to Japan for me to take a look while waiting for the train, while in the train, or before sleeping, in the end, the cheatsheets are left in the luggage everyday... not even touched a single time XD
The little vocab and kanji book that I used to scribble, was used to collect stamps from all the places we have visited... XD good job, nata! XD
