Happy sunday!

I prayed to God.. really prayed.. that i wouldn't tardy for my first service assignment today.. n guess what? About 6.55 my dream suddenly seizes (I dont know the exact time though)... and i was quite awake... XD i could hear marlin in her room bustling in the toilet... and prompty at 7 my alarm buzzed... =]....

This morning the wheather was cold (maybe its usually THIS cold.. just that i dun usually rise b4 the sun rises so i felt that it was 'cold' haha..)... quite cozy to be under the bed.. and marlin knocked on my door..... and i closed my eyes for a little longer... savouring the feeling being under a thick blanket............ but my dreams refused to come back... XD

So i woke up and got ready.. n it was at the exact 8.30 when i left the house.. well.. i didnt know the journey to shenton way would take 1 hour plus =.=; next time i will take 67-190 and then change to other buses going to shenton way.. i think it'll b faster tat way =.=; waiting for 970.. (or 75) that takes ages.. n their routes........... only make the travel time taken longer =.=;

Well.. I am a stranger in the church im serving.. i didnt evn know the fellow ushers.. =p (I know edo n his wife.. becoz they bought cards from me before.. but they were assigned to usher downstairs =.=).... so im really left alone with these group of people i dun recognize o_O; but yeaipz.. its time to make new friends ^_^ the more the merrier, isnt it? hahaa!!!!

I heard the choir members practicing.. singing the prayer of st Francis.. beautiful lyrics.. beautiful song.. beautiful voices... =] I think most of them are x-Angelic choir... good job.. good job =] anyway.. 15minutes to service... n nobody turned up O_o' everywhere u see are black-white uniform.... n finally 2 people... 2 people... 1 person... 2 more... .... n a few more....

Until 10 o clock.. I think there were only about 10 congregation... n i almost had nothing to do (all ushers almost had nothing to do...) it was really a piece of cake O_o'... Me and my fellow usher almost 'fought' to show guests to their seats =p they didnt start the service at 10, which is actually not a church custom! church services should start promptly!!..

By God's grace, there were more people coming after 10 o clock =p.. each time we hears the elevator's bell, we got excited ourselves XD getting ready to welcome the congregation XD... Well2.. it was because this is chinese new year holiday.. most of the people went back on saturday... hehee.. but i guess there's always something good behind everything... because the ushers dont really have 'much' to do, we can have time to chat.. erhm i mean.. getting to know each other better =p hehee...

I mean.. if we had more people, we might only exchange formal smile/nod to each other and acknowledge them being the 'fellow usher of the day' without really knowing who they are.. at least today, we already know their name, their school/work and the plan for the next year.. XD am i really that sanguine? XD

Eniweiz.. The daughter of Rev Dr. Caleb Tong graduated from the US with degree in music from (not sure where)... so, these 2 weeks i heard her sermon, she always incorporate music into her sermon.. which, intrigued a novice like me XD.. i must admit that her sermon is not as powerful n as inspiring as Rev Dr. Caleb Tong.. but then again, like marlin said on thurs, 'submit to authority' XD.. alright.. i try not to complain so much about preachers XD I only know i like Rev Ayub Yahya.. huehuehuehuhee..... he always can make me laugh XD

eniweiz.. back to this church, after the church, there were 'ramah tamah' aka food provided to hold the congregation from fleeing off.. This is a chance for the congregation to mingle around, say hi to one another, getting to know their brother and sister in christ.. well.. I must say, it's tough XD coz the people there, i only know them for quite a short time.. XD.. n yea.. actually the age gap there are pretty obvious =p

1. Encim/Engkong (chinese speaking)
2. Mums n dads whose kids are schooling in Sgp
3. Working expats (maybe aged 27+)
4. University students (maybe only hm... 4 people? or less?)
5. Private Univ students (shld be quite few also... n mostly are FRESHIES)
6. Secondary kidos..

So.. most of the time u will see clusters =p kids with kids.... oldies with oldies XD u get the idea =p so im kinda lost..... where do i belong? XD the group 6 takes a big portion of the church community =p hehe.. but yea.. im out of place there.. =p eniweiz.. dun take me wrong.. they're a bunch of nice people.. but i think its just quite hard to jump into their community and make them re-bonding ourselves with ME inside XD... slowly slowly.. XD

This morning my dad smsed me as usual, wishing a good sunday.. n asked whether im awaken already.. i promptly smsed him at 8.30 before he stepped into the indo church =p n his tone was like 'wowwww... u r awake?' huheuhee.. n then i replied 'ofcoz.. im going to be usher today..' n his answer is like this (HIS very word): 'wah? mujizat! melayani yah!' XD XD hehee... eniweiz.. i hope this is not only a 'phase' of my life.. i dowan to drift away again... please please God.. let me stick to this church... dont make my stubborn-ness tear me away......
