IEC Grand opening..

It was my new church's grand opening last night.. i managed to begged 2 people to come.. eleta and raymond XD..

Met venny, sbass, eleta at TG mrt at almost 6 o clock... venny n eleta was saying (hinting) tat they're super hungry... N guess wad.. when we reached, they asked us to go for snacks first =p n i was grateful on behalf of eleta XD.. n i told her 'the good Lord always provides', right? hehe...

There were alottt of people last night (today they announced there were more than 200 people last night..) 3x increase of our usual sunday service =p hehe... Eniweiz.. to my horror, eleta doesnt know how to read the old-chinese letters.. O_O' oh well.. her chinese was not that powerful since secondary school.. but i thought listening-wise shld b no problem =p hehe

The service began with glitches here and there.. even the bible reading.. it was different on screen and what was read.. =p hihi.... The youth choir was lead by my ex-teacher! huehuee.. the guy we spotted on SBC's anniversary XD..

Then the message was by rev caleb Tong.. It was based on Psalm 100... last verse.. only 1 verse... his message as usual, is powerful.. but i think there was soemthing wrong with him last night too.. i have listened to his preachings for more than 5 times.. and never did he ever switch indo-chinese-indo-chinese... making the translator (the brilliant translator) switching chinese-indo-chinese-indo.. hehe... n it was also unsual that he starts to 'intro' his church's expansion in the middle of the sermon O_o'

Well let's just say that at one point of time i was quite switched off =p n i looked to my side.. eleta looks dazed as well.. the only one enjoying the night was venny.. XD because rev Caleb Tong's chinese is powerful.. It is not uncommon that he uses cheng yu or some other form of chinese language poetically.... so to venny, it was more of a challenge to understand rev Tong before the translator even began his translation =p hhehee...

After the longggg sermon... there was a drama which dialog was in indo.. eleta was watching their body language as she knows the main story line.. n at some point, she asked me 'wad are they saying?' believe me.. translating is NOT an easy job XD.. at least to me =p hehee

There was food afterward.. and it was good to be out of that auditorium's chair wakaka... I asked sbass and ray whether they enjoyed the sermon... n the gave tat kind of smile.. sbass: mind you.. ur smile was the same as when i asked about IFC choir concert XD... ray was yawning XD.. poor ting =p wakaka..

Eniweiz.. i was doing my job to 'invite' alot of people.. but some of them backed off.. =.=; like marlin and her other church friends (her friends, because they duno the traditional chinese-writing.. so they didnt know wad the topic wld be.. while marlin.. let's just say she had a blond-moment the whole of yestrday).. On friday dinner at school, i was eating with the CEs waiting for Simu class.. n joined by ray and favian.. I was persuading favian to come becoz Hok Im Tong IS his indo church eniweiz.. ray was saying tat his bro is actually in IEC.. whew.. wad a surprise.. XD.. so he came yesterday n introed his bro.. weleh2.. they looked vastly different XD... eniweiz.. that favian nv came =.= =.= =.= =.= =.= =.= grr..

There was one point where the IEC gembala setempat (local shepherd? XD) came recruiting churchgoers and church activist =p she had one small book with a person's name on top of it.. n she was making her round.. asking 'who brought u to this church?' and write down ur name on that person's page... n undoubtedly.. Husen's page had lonnnnggggg loonggggg list.. inclusive my name.. so she was saying 'choir? youth fellowship?' i was like 'ya ya.. ok..' =p hehee.. n by the time she finished talking to me... it was the others' turn to be interrogated.. sbass thought his reason was enough to defend himself being pulled into the church.. but no... =p XD

Sbass said that he is already in BB.. n she insisted tat it was ok to come once in every 2 weeks =p wakaka... she even called one person to be an example.. =p im nt sure wad happened with venny (did she escape interrogation?) and ray, though.. as i already fled behind the pillar with eleta bwahahaa

It seemed that everyone has someone to talk to (except for k tata - the photographer of the night wakaka.. none of his friends came last night.. poor ting XD).. venny unexpectedly met her uncle there! hehe.. so she and her cousin had a very hapy family discussions... haha.. It was fun talking to eleta again.. there were soo much to update.. the last time i saw her was.. 2 years ago? on nad's 21st bdae.. n guess wad.. that particular nad is getting engaged next month! haha... so i guess there'll b another reunion again =] looking forward for that =]... hm.. i cant wait for june to come now.. =p then i can move to the east.... yayyyy good good east... (but expensiv =.=; damn..)

TODAY, i was asked to usher again O_o haha.. n during the tithes and offering, i was asked to count the number of people present.. and it was amazing that i found out the people present today was 111 (without the AV people whom i couldnt see... couldnt count) haha... bless the Lord.. =] if there are more people... more congregation.. at least ushers would have SOMETHING to do =p hehee...

Oh ya.. Rev Caleb Tong said this in his sermon: "last night someone asked me y my sermon was soooo long.. n i said it depends on the response from the audience.. i saw them very welcoming.. so the sermon was lengthened.. if i saw them bored and sleepy, i wld have ended it earlier" Syiurr...........................
