technology..

yooo hooooo.... minggu ini kerasanya cpt bgt loch berlalu.. thx so much to that may day holiday hhehuehuehee.... nyway.. this whole week ive been researching on FUTURE technology.. or technology that's currently picking up... n i am fascinated on how fast that 'future' would come..

Ive been reading visions of top CIOs... things like: we wont see computers in the future.. it'll disappear into the walls.. carpet... doors.. etc.. it would be everywhere.. even under your skin... *eeww!*.. but yea.. reality check! THAT era would be here even before we realise it.. everyone anticipate the smart home.. digital home... 24/7 connectivity between you and everyone...

The article said something like this: imagine someone was at your door while u rnt home.. the smart home would know that it's a guest.. you would be contacted through ur mobile phone and be able to see who is on the door.. or even allowng you to talk to that person..

If you are home, the lights will turn on, they'll play your favourite song.. aircon at your preferred temperature... *whoaaaa.. coba kalo ada 'welcome home young master.. ehrm.. mistress'*.... you open your fridge, began to take out all the ingredients... the fridge is *again* connected to the internet, begin to give you all the recipes of dishes that could be made through the things you have chosen... and then.. connect the chosen recipe to microwave oven, which would fix the dish just the way you want it *WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ill love that!!! hahaaa....*

Although this dream of the future seems to be very alluring.. i cant help but to feel the fear... fear of all these 'smart' objects... AI (artificial intelligence) would evolve to me 'real' AI or somewhat 'near' AI.... next time you will ask your robot.. 'where shall i go?' or 'what should I do?'.. technology would dictate you instead of your personal assistant..

there's one article that said 'stop the technology wave! i want to get off..' but it's impossible, darling.. 6 months from now, things WOULD be very different than now.. i think i would run out of business selling cards because people would start using VoIP....

Also, they're now trying to realize harry potter's 'whereabout map' *isit what it's called?* through remote sensing to your mobile phone.. even though they said they wont make it 'too precise' as it would invade privacy, i believe in the future it WILL be THAT precise to the point of nanometer coordinates of your position... Try the satellite GIS.. it IS already quite precise that it could allocate a TREE....

In my personal opinion, the rapid growth of technology IS scary.. especially thinking about those chip implants in your body... has the prophecy in revelation come true?
